The Heritage Museums & Gardens carousel consists of figures and chariots carved by Charles Looff placed on an Allan Herschell frame. It is a three row carousel, consisting of 29 jumping horses, 1 jumping goat, 1 prancing goat, and 2 chariots. It was relocated in 1969 to its current home in Sandwich, MA. The figures have been undergoing restoration by James Hardison.
Heritage Museums & Gardens also owns several menagerie figures by various carvers. Three of these figures are on display in the carousel building, and they are swapped out anually.
