Carousel Frogs
Carousel Frogs
Herschell-Spillman was the only golden age American carousel manufacturer to make frogs. They are always dressed in human clothes, and often referred to as 'hop toads' due to their leaping pose.
Modern manufacturer Carousel Works created frogs in the Herschell-Spillman style, though their frogs typically wore saddles instead of clothing. The exception was the frog prince design, wearing a cape, armor, and a crown.
